The Defence Fuel Transformation Program is a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) capabilities by reducing risk, increasing resilience, and optimizing costs within the Defence fuel network. The program, valued at $1.16 billion, is being implemented in a series of stages that began in July 2018 and is set to conclude by 2045–46.
Profluid’s contribution significantly influenced the project’s successful execution and delivery as evidenced by the following outcomes:
LOCAL CONTENT VALUE
One of the notable achievements attributed to Profluid’s involvement is the substantial realization of local content value. Profluid’s main workshop located in Western Australia played a pivotal role in this aspect. By executing essential tasks such as bespoke gasket manufacturing to meet the stringent Defence Fuel Standards requirements, Profluid contributed to enhancing local content and reducing dependency on external sources.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Profluid’s commitment to quality and reliability was evident through their meticulous approach to assembly and function testing of actuated valves. This ensured that all components operated seamlessly, meeting the rigorous standards set forth by the Defence Fuel Transformation Program.
TESTING AND CALIBRATION
Profluid went above and beyond by conducting NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) pressure testing and calibration at their state-of-the-art facility in Wangara, Western Australia. This step further underscored the company’s dedication to delivering products of the highest quality and reliability.
